Privacy Policy.

Ruleschat is a small personal project. This page explains, in plain language, what you should know about the data you enter on the site.

Don't enter personal information

Ruleschat is designed for asking questions about Advanced Squad Leader rules. Please do not enter personally identifiable information (PII) — your own or anyone else's — into chat messages, image uploads, or feedback. That includes names, addresses, phone numbers, government IDs, financial details, health information, login credentials, or anything else you would not want stored and reviewed.

If you do enter such information, you do so at your own risk. Ruleschat and its operator are not responsible for any consequences of personal data you choose to submit.

How your data may be used

Messages, uploaded images, ratings, and feedback you submit on Ruleschat may be reviewed and reused to improve the service and the models that power it. That includes, without limitation:

  • analyzing questions and answers to find weaknesses in retrieval or generation;
  • building evaluation sets and fine-tuning datasets;
  • tuning prompts, tools, and rule references;
  • diagnosing bugs and abuse.

By using the site you grant Ruleschat the right to retain and use the content you submit for these purposes.

Third-party model providers

Your messages and any attached images are sent to third-party AI providers (currently OpenAI and OpenRouter) to generate responses. Their handling of that content is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

Accounts and cookies

If you create an account, your email address and a hashed password are stored so you can log in. A session cookie keeps you signed in. The site does not run third-party advertising or tracking.

Changes

This policy may change as the project evolves. Continued use of the site after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
